Individuals

As a practice, we frequently work with adults and adolescents; transgender and non-binary people; creative and performing artists; people living with chronic illness & chronic pain; people with a history of trauma or loss in their families of origin; members of poly and kink communities; sex workers; and people experiencing depression, anxiety, and difficulty tolerating strong emotions. Our practice is death-positive and respectfully leans into discussions around terminal illness, grief, loss, and fears around death and dying.

Partners & Families

The couples our therapists work with are motivated to develop greater closeness and vulnerability, and to make their relationships more fulfilling and satisfying for all parties. No family or relationship is 100% conflict-free, but we can learn to communicate in ways that are honest and loving, even during times of conflict. Couples can learn to identify their own relational needs, and explore issues originating from unresolved or unmet needs from an earlier time. Our practice specialize in work with LGBTQ partners.

Gender-Affirming Care

Our practice celebrates and affirms the lived experiences of Trans and Non-binary people and is committed to to the principles of bodily autonomy. Our practice follows recommendations of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care version 8, which was released in October 2022. Please note that WPATH has updated several of its recommendations in the latest version of the Standards of Care; for example, they have removed age restrictions and no longer require a mental health evaluation or letters of support for most surgical procedures. However, individual medical providers may have their own requirements for prospective patients. For now, we will continue to offer letters of support if they are requested by a surgeon or health plan.
